About the
Relay for Life
Relay for Life, a 24 hour event being held from 6 PM to 6 PM,
June 15th through the 16th at the Bucyrus High
School Athletic Complex, is the American Cancer Society's
version of a relay with a new twist. Relay for Life is a
noncompetitive, family-oriented team event where people come
together and form teams of up to thirty members. These teams
include individuals, families, churches, businesses,
organizations, hospitals, neighborhoods, radio stations,
schools, county office workers, nursing homes, and many more.
These people come together to raise not only funds for the
American Cancer Society but to have a desire to see the day
when cancer will be no more.
So join us, why not? It's fun, it's invigorating, it's
togetherness and it's for a great cause. One of three
Americans will develop cancer -- we know these facts are
true. Just look around you, start naming those near and dear
to you, and those who you know only by name. It's real. Start
counting how many friends you have lost to this dreaded
disease. Let's put our efforts together through forming teams
and raising funds to help fund research for a cure. We Relay
Care!
